I need some good recommendations in terms of pricing. My benchmark prices are unrealistically from YJA and Mandarake.

I am currently in Tokyo for a week and have gone to the following:

Yodobashi

Bic Camera

Akiba Radio Kaikan

VOLKS hobby Shop

AKIBA Liberty (all)

MANDARAKE akiba and osaka namba

Planning to go to Shibuya, Nakano and Ueno.

I saw vf-4g for 70k yen somewhere.

I know I spent (almost) similar money for each of my Max & Milia VF-1J (including postage) but this is still nuts.. I saw there is a cheaper one on YJA still available..

Even if they ever re-issue the VF-4 then it will be the first Valkyrie toy to push beyond the 40k yen barrier im almost certain of it. If that does turn out to be the case then I'll be sticking to the one and only I already have.

Yeah, probably true. For sure they know how demand that valk is so they can just price it how much they want it. But in that 40K yen range, they have to make sure that it comes with a gunpod, tweak some minor flaws and color it in Flashback 2012 version. ;)

VF-4? I think we have a better chance of seeing a new one from Bandai, which is still low but > 0.

Why do we have a better chance of seeing one from Bandai? Arcadia has confirmed they own the VF-4 mold, along with the M7 ones and the VF-1. They already brought out the VF-1 and Fire Valk, I think we could see the VF-4 back once they are done with the VF-0 series.

yes Renato is right seeing that Arcadia does own the molds it wouldn't be such a stretch for them to flick the switch to the on position. And yes going by the molds they own and the release timeline so far it kinda makes sense that we could see the VF-4 coming up next in the production schedule.

Bandai however would have to engineer a whole new toy and seeing how the VF-4 is quite a physically complicated toy it would cost them more money and more risk. Yes they did a very good job with their VF-19 Advance but the VF-4G is whole different kettle of fish!

I have a feeling that Bandai is now preparing for the Delta behind our backs. There's no more DX updates from any conventions they're having nowadays. Usually if there's any it should pop out by now.

Let's see if they will incorporate VF-4G in the Delta series ala-VF-19Advance. But the question is, who's going to pilot in a 5 second cameo window?

Hikaru of course! :p He's done it before in Flashback 2012 haha! Edited by ArchieNov

When I lived in Tokyo a year ago the best places to go were:

1) Nakano Mandarake (located on the 3rd floor of the boardwalk...the escalator passes the second floor. The mandarake right off the elevator is the one you want. Nakano boardwalk has about 5 Mandarakes each one with a different theme, but the one off the escalator is the one you want).

2) Mandarake in Akihabara (you want last floor from the top....I think it is the seven).

3) Jungle In Akihabara. This place is located along the same street as the Mandarake but it is a down a few blocks. They have a website with information.

4) Yellow-Submarine. This store is located right outside the main Akihabars station. Go to the third floor I think.

5) Volks. Located on the other side of the Akihabar Station. You want the second floor.

Unless you pre-ordered most of the retail stores will not have any stock, hence I would recommend going straight for the Second Hand stores like Mandarake, Robot-Robot, Volks, Yellow-Submarine.
