  1. I appreciate the thought valkyrie2008, but I went to bed after "Fiona" from NY told me they weren't listing anymore. It's kind of tough being east coast, as most of the preorders happen between 10PM-3AM, and always on a work night. But, sounds like the email notification scheme that Pedro2k6 uses is the way to go.
  2. Good advise. I'll give it a try. I figured with how fast these things sell out, I'd get the notification long after the fact.
  3. DAMN IT! Missed it again, and I had just contacted NY on chat 15 minutes earlier, and they said they wouldn't be listing any more for preorder at this time, so I went to bed. That's it - NY can go eat a bag of dicks!!! If I buy, it'll be at release, and not from them.
  4. What are the odds of another pre-order release at NY tonight? Trying to decide whether or not to stay up half the night (east coast) in hopes of finally snagging one...
  5. NY is back up - No chronos yet...
  6. Wait, the "form" was a chic, right? Just trying to figure out if I'd be trying to draw the valk or the form if I were there...
  7. I have a pretty big collection, but it's in my basement. I have a couple buddies who appreciate it. I tell strangers I have an Ebay store, and the toys are my inventory. I tell my father-in-law to mind his f-ing business.
  8. Same here Hopefully Toy-wave comes through or I'm out altogether
  9. So, has the amiami preorder already happened? I was wishfully thinking it was just a placeholder there as well.
  10. Some one has one on Ebay for $220 shipped now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Macross-Frontier-DX-Chogokin-Bandai-VF-171-Nightmare-Plus-EX-Saotome-Alto-Custom-/160777692926?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item256f18e6fe&BackToListReferer=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.ebay.com%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FMyEbayBeta Already have 2 on preorder or I'd get it-
  11. I just threw down an order @ toy-wave too. It saves me from surfing all the other shops hoping by some miracle I'm going to hit that magic 5 second window to get my order in. Plus Ken has never let me down, so I feel better about it than messing around taking a chance with some Ebay shops I've never bought from before. Especially when the lead time with those it outside the Paypal claim window....

    Storing Toys

I've got plenty of room at my house - send 'em on over Personally, I would keep them at room temp, and as Isamu stated, out of the sunlight. If you got a sizeable collection, you're talking about thousands of dollars of plastic that will be worth little to mothing if the plastic deteriorates from UV or temperature induced embrittlement. Just stuff them under your bed, the back of the linen closet, behind the couch, etc.
  13. Okay I found the storage bin with 'em, and a few others from the line. The rest of the destroids are in another one somewhere, but still, it was a nice trip down memory lane. I definitely need to take the dust cloth to the 1S toys though!
  14. It's actually pretty cheesy if you haven't seen it in person. But, for the mid-80s, when I was about 12, it was great imagination fodder.
