Shipping cost from buyee to USA.

I just won my first auction using buyee. For the people in the USA who have won using buyee, do you know what is the cost of the shipping usually?

Thanks!

The email I got from them said it may take up to two weeks before they get it from the seller. I guess I won't see this item for weeks to a month.

Just to play safe on their shipping cost. I always assumed or estimate all the Yamato releases around 2.5kg. Because I remember Mandarake charged me $40 something on previous VF-1's purchases. And when I checked the JP shipping price chart that's around the 2.5kg mark.

Always prepare yourself paying extra for EMS if you really want to get items via Buyee. ;)

Buyee doesn't repack packages unless you ask them to, so the shipping weight also depends on the seller's packing method when they ship to the buyee warehouse, FYI.

A VF-1 without super packs should weigh around 1.5kg shipped. 2 VF-1's is less than 2.5kg shipped.

The secret is just assumed more so you're always prepared for the worst. And be glad if ever they charge you less after the transaction. ^_^

In case you haven't tried this on the Buyee site. They have a link on getting Total Estimate on the upper part area where the Current Price is displayed. So it's somewhere between the My Page link and where the Current Price text is. In there you can put the total cost of the winning bid item. If you know or estimate the weight of the item, just type in the box. If you have no idea on the weight and it's already a released items, you can browse Hobbysearch, HLJ or Amiami and search for that item. Some sold out items is still in their database so you can check the item details and sometimes they include the item weight. Just add some for the packaging to get an idea on the total weight. Then check if the seller on the Buyee puts a shipping cost table. Remember this first shipping cost is for Japan only. This shipping cost range from 700-1000yen. I always put 1000yen to be safe. Then just put your country location and it will show you the total estimate. In there you will see also how much is the shipping cost internationally. They're just using EMS for international.

Anyways, congrats on your Buyee purchase and have fun on your next bidding. ;)

The buyee support doesn't respond to email in a timely manner eh? I email them asking about status and a question about do they check the package before they ship to me. Not getting anything back. Bleh

They don't. They take quite a while to reply. Did you email their support or contacted them through the site itself by keying in your auction ID?

I replied on the email that they sent me that I won the auction. The email address is from their support. I'll wait and see.

I remembered using their site and paste the Auction ID since I don't have a copy on my 'sent' folder.

Did they ever reply? This lack of communication is frustrating. Not sure I am going with them in the future now. I sent them another email inquiry my item.

They did for me. In a few days 1/2 no more than 3. I had three different enquiries at separate times too. Try that option. They might reply better there.

Nope. I don't think they do. From my last transaction with them, it took 3-4 days for them to reply when I asked them the status of the item. I'm sure they get tons of emails everyday. ;)

Yes they did reply. ^_^

Just found out they shipped it to an international address. They will wait until the customer received it before trying to get it back. This seems to be a long process! Arghhh

Wonder I should ask for some kind of compensation for their screw up!
