  1. I like the VF 25 and quite happy to get this model which arrived on monday. For those who have it, whats an alternate way to reproduce the color?
  2. L1 has a little stick that goes in the hole and there's a tiny tiny tiny nub for you to cut off. If that little stick is rounded you know you've done it right.
  3. I can't do whether that's probably why I smug wash, it just a bit of a dirty look that's not too pristine. I use pin wash on gundam cos it's much easier and way different than hase macross kits.
  4. I guess it's sludge wash if I'm just applying a mixture of thinner and enamel on it then cleaning. The only time I rescribe the panel is when I've sanded parts too much and the lines have disappeared otherwise I leave it as it is.
  5. I've completed mine today after a few days of procrastination of not wanting to do the decal. The only thing I kind of regret is not doing the seamline when the top and bottom of the plane comes together. I'm quite happy with how it turned out but I still can't seem to get the panel wash done correctly. I want it relatively clean, but if I clean it cleans the lining too then I reapply, clean and the cycle continues. Anyways this is a nice build, it's pretty easy and everything comes together quite well. Of course it was quite fun to build too!
  6. I think hase will be "cheap" if you already have all the tools and paint to make them. I ended up buying a packet of brushes, thinners, paint and sand paper to build the kits which none is required for a bandai model but if you already have the tools then I guess it is cheap.
  7. Hase is slightly slow, I usually buy the vf0/1 or vf25. I also about to finish the hase 1/72 VF25 that was recently released which is coming along nice. They make a lot of valkyrie and battroid modes but wheres the love of the gerwalkers? That's my favourite mode.
  8. Man that one looks so nice. I've been fidgeting with mine for so many times the decals have been fading off This part is meant to be connected to the bottom right? The parts aren't all fitting that well like these parts This is what happens when you just leave as is. The legs aren't really fitting snuggly upon the arms
  9. The part where the torso meets the arms when it's in valkyrie mode doesn't seem to fit together so it's causing the whole thing to just break apart. I've seen some reviews and such and I do believe it's a good kit. I gave up on trying to put it in valkyrie mode and put it back in the box.
  10. So I've taken the time to rearrange my old vf-25S messiah ozma lee custom from bandai. As it a kit that I didn't do a lot with (removing nubs and making it all look pretty), I was wondering who bought this model kit and does anyone have/had any problems with it? I like the valkyrie mode of it but I realise that almost none of the parts fit together nicely, the legs are on a slight V shape and wants to stay that way unless you push them together, the side two flap that's connection to the legs are very loose and doesn't stay connected, also loose arms in gerwalker/battroid mode. It was a nice build for someone who uses minimum effort but not sure where I could of went wrong to make all these pieces not connect properly. Is it me or the kit isn't as well made? Just want to hear what people say about this kit.
  11. I took them pics once I finished with the decal which was around 1.30am. Quick snap to show the finish product, when I'm free I'll give it a better background rather than my desk. it's a nice big piece of work. I enjoy the size of it too, but I may just keep with the 1/72
  12. Quick picture of the finished product. It was fun to put together, the decal was annoying to put together (why do they do they have decals that says "Do not paint"). One of my cannon is a bit loose and so is the blaster at the back but it should be easily fixed. Now onto the 1/72 Messiah I have waiting!
  13. Some progress made so far, Had to wait for paint to come in then I ran out of thinner but as you can see I'm quite terrible with painting but I kinda enjoyed painting the little dude, might of been better if I had a thinner brush. The wings are different color also, the brush had some black residue which for some reason stayed while painting. I think overall everything can be improved but its quite a fun model to make, spending lots of time removing the seamline though...
  14. yeah it's best to plan ahead, just look at the instructions and think which part should be painted before putting together or put some parts together then paint. Just note that if you use cement it can remove some of the paint and ruin part of the paint job
  15. The model is quite easy to put together, pretty much like every other model kit out there. Yes you need to paint some areas unless you want it completely quite in all aspect other than the strike parts. As for paint I use My Hobby since it's the easiest to correspond with what they have written in the booklet.
