    Have you thought of plastic cement? Its supposed to melt the plastic together rather than just have the glue keep the pieces together.
  2. Its been awhile since I read the Robotech books but I think the part about the pilot going up into the head was during the battle that interrupted Minmei's birthday party.
  3. I beat the game last night and now that I finished it I feel let down. At first I thought DFM wouldnt be too bad for the gameplay but I was wrong. It seems like the developers went out of their way to make you rely on it. One example is when you pass regular enemies head on and then find out that they almost instantly pulled a 180 and are shooting at you is crazy. It makes you have to use the counter move just to get rid of them. And then you repeat for the next one in line. And DFM seems to twitchy. I know jet combat is high speed, but there is a limit to how quickly they change direction and I sometimes got disoriented and crashed into the ground when I lost a lock. Combine tthese with having to chase down bombers on a time limit and it can get tiresome quickley. I thought the move to the real world was interesting and wouldnt mind seeing this trend continue, but with a mobetter story. As one reviewer put it, the plot was almost lifted directly out of the first modern warfare. So all in all, Im dissapointed but what do all of you think?
  4. What I mean about FPS feel is that you get almost nose to tail with the guy and then blast him while on a rail, barely adjusting your sights to keep them on target. If I didnt have to use the CRA to do this and had to manuver all on my own I wouldnt mind the cinematics of seeing the jet I just fragged breaking up. And in the demo read the text when you encounter the first enemy leader plane. It talks about how difficult it is to shoot them down without CRA. I tried without it and spent 8 to 10 missiles apiece on leader planes trying to down them without luck and the only time I could down them was using CRA.
  5. I usually dont post much, but since I love Ace Combat I had to this time. I agree that this whole CRA is just a gimick and feels, at least to me, as something they should have just left out. It was fun the first few times I did it in the demo but then it pissed me off that I couldnt shoot down ace planes without it. So really my now I wonder not how good/bad Assault Horizon will be, but what reaction Namco will have if the reviews criticize CRA. Would they then revert back to the way things were in 4,5, and 6 or keep going with this new "FPS" direction? Story wise though I think the plot sounds interesting and I like having a main character that I can actually relate to.

  7. Thanks Seto Kaiba for the info. The technology behind Macross, even if fictional, always interested me. Is there any place that has more info on Variable Fighters and their technology?
  8. Hi, Ive been wanting to ask a question for awhile now but never new where to post. So if this goes somewhere else please move it. Do variable fighters with reaction engines have armor strength more comparable to a gerwalk or battroid? Looking at the Macross Mecha Manual, it says in the VF-0 entry that SWAG doesnt work in fighter mode because most of the energy is used to fly. But since reaction engines put out so much power, (MMM says the VF-1 produces 650 MWs per engine) wouldn't there be enough extra power to fly AND increase armor stength?
