  1. With high anticipation I started to watch Kei's subs but after running 1/2 of this episode, I grew so annoyed that I paused the whole thing, loaded this thread and voted 'Negative'. What were the makers thinking? That the viewers and in particular: me, would be satisfied with another rehash of previous episodes? Re-using all the occurances I have already seen before? The rest of this abomination they call episode 15 must be very very expensive to make, but the first frames showing Sheryl sitting on her sickbed and Grace talking to her made me cringe even more, what horrible animation! And those annoying voice-overs, if it meant to be comical, I'm not laughing. Gods, I'm so pissed and feeling betrayed. I really hope for the DVD-release's sake, they rewrite and remake this whole episode to blot out this shameful lowpoint of otherwise a great series.
  2. Possibly.. But if it is the same principle and assume the original Grace went underground on Frontier, how can the original Grace control dummy Grace over that long distance without the problem of cutting the control signal through the fold disruptions? Unless Grace is an AI/Cylon/skinjob and can 'download' her soul into a new body, I presume she has sacrificed herself for her and her superiors' cause, thus is dead. One more thing: everyone feels sorry for the brave Zentran 33th, but what about Sheryl's crew??? From being taken hostage, saved and then getting blasted away into atomic particles, who feels sorry for them? Sheryl will have to find a whole new crew and assistant... Poor Ranka. Hopefully she won't turn out to be Ranka Kerrigan, Queen of Brooms (aka ze evil Zupahdimenzional Zinderella).
  3. Seen both G.G and I-AIA subs. It was an entertaining episode, the carrot song with Ranka jumping up yelling "Hai!" was funny and cute. The comical slapstick scenes with the panties, Sheryl with the exo-gear were funny. I frowned a bit when Mikhail with sniper-eyes didn't even notice the green critter with a pair of panties landing on a container/closet just at the upper corner of his vision. The only thing that bugged me was the animation. The character drawings were of mixed quality. You can clearly see the various scenes were given to animators (or even to different studios) who each have different style on their own: some are average, some way off, like it was Western doujin or made by amateur fans, with an oddly drawn face of Mikhail when he is talking to Alto, Alto's corner of his mouth like he's eating or something..? Proportions were off too, Sheryl with a big head, Nanase which had a pair the size of cannon shells (with a much younger face than previous eps), Ranka and Sheryl who were anorexic in some scenes. Nonetheless, it was a good and light episode.
  4. Haven't started reading this thread and just saw 5 minutes of episode 8 and rather not noticing the difference in animation quality between the previous episodes, this time it seems that this particular one has been given to a very different (non-Japanese?) studio. Must say that it is not an improvement. Post a conclusive comment later!
  5. That purple fighter must be part of NUNS. Before Alto got inside the Vajra battleship, that cybernetic punk in his purple machine zig-zagged to it and went in ahead before Alto did. When Alto saw a bunch of those squid-like fighter-bodies sprawled inside the ship, he made a comment that those squids turned on eachother, but the next shot shows an impact hole on the inner hull of the battleship. Which means cyberboy got there first and finished those yellow squids earlier. I speculate that the purple VF pilot was merely spectating and sizing up his SMS competitors for a later confrontation. The way how he behaved, like a spoiled cybernetic überkid piloting a more manouverable Variable Fighter indicates that. Hate those types. Like Kedash, a Sephiroth remnant from FFVII Advent Children, Principal Dio from Last Exile. Those snobs makes me cringe.
  6. Stunning! Awesome! Love the frosted gunmetal blue on the Strike Pack.

  8. Hmm, does look familiar. Don't know it is from a game or movie... I guess the design should be a bit 'plumb' or fat in comparison of the Splicer 5000. Purpose-built, big missile-tubes with a cockpit and engines on them. What is this craft going to be used for, do you have any idea? Medium capships? (and how big should the target be?)
