I read the first two comic book compendiums so I know where this is going :) If you hadn't read the comics I suggest checking them out. Don't fear the spoilers as the TV series deviates from the comic's storyline by a large degree.

If they deviate that much then how do you know where this is going by having read the comic compendiums? :p

That said, personally I look forward to reading the comics once the series (spin-off included) are over.

^LOL

Too bad that Tara probably isn't long for the Walking Dead world.

I wonder though...

If Bob was bitten and these dudes are literally eating him, will they get sick like the folks that ate the infected pigs at the prison?

I can't believe that those men would be that dumb. I can't believe that the writing could be that dumb...

Wait, did Bob get bit? interesting, I wonder if that's why he was crying in the cemetery. Wouldn't it be funny if he got bit in the leg, which was the leg the termites ate, and they will all consume dead virus flesh.. therefor making them sick and die like with the Prison folk? So many questions! Writing has definitely improved thus far.

Remember he had established the cute little habit of stealing little peck-kisses from Tyrese's sister, but before he left the dinner at the church to go outside, he pulled a longer kiss as if to extract more meaning from the moment. Furthermore, as he was "stumbling" outside (possibly from his bite injury), they plainly show a handgun in his waistline, presumably to kill himself. Well, that's my Rosita induced speculating anyway...

Thats exactly where I thought it was going. But they threw a curveball.

The Terminus folks just may not have checked, they didn't bother to remove any clothing besides that one..."section".

:D

He could have had the wound elsewhere (I was thinking chest/torso based on how the event played out) since the infection spreads.

But thinking on how myk called the writing dumb I have my doubts now, as it could be just a big ole red herring.

maybe he's is just drunk and emotional (plus he got alcohol issues). As for the handgun, I think it should be standard to be equipped with weapon anytime, anywhere. From what I recall, he just need to take a pee :p

Not sure that how i would feel about it, it may be dumb writing, but....

It would be interesting to get a bit more of a peek at the virus. From what i can guess it must be a 2 stage virus. We know everyone is infected, and if they die turn, but the other part of the virus actually kills, presumably transmitted only thru a bite.

If an animal was infected or even a carrier, remember the deer from season 1 when Daryl was introduced, being eaten by a walker. What if they had eaten meat from that deer. Now the ? is what if Bob is infected.

As usual it may be just a diversion, but i was pretty sure when he went under the water he was bitten

Cast is pretty bloated.....I expect several losses in the coming weeks......

dead pool....Carol, Bob, Sasha, Rosita, and Tara...all dead before Season 5 is over.....with Carol being the "shocking" death at the end...and not necessarily at the hands of a walker!!!

Survivors.....The Grimes family, plus Michonne, Darryl, Beth, Tyreese, Glenn, Maggie, Eugene*, and Abraham

* If the revelation about the "cure" is true....and is carried over into the spin-off show as a major plot point.....Eugene may become expendable after he makes "contact" with his peers on the other side of the world.....assuming the TV show is completely departing from the comic in terms of the virus and the potential to "end it"....

Who are we kidding.....even if he is rescued and not infected...amputees don't survive too long.....scratch one, 4 to go! ^_^

Besides losing carol, I also thought of another potential real downer of a season finale....and a way of re-syncing with some of the casualties of the comic version.....a lot of people thought Little Ass Kicker was a goner....I just couldn't believe they would kill off an infant via a walker......how awful would it be if the baby got sick and Rick had to "take care of her" before she turned? However, I'm still hoping the Grimes stay intact...that family unit is broken, but still somewhat intact....it is the only "good" thing that has survived the zombie armageddon in more or less one piece and I think many viewers of the show, myself included as a dad with kids, can relate to that...

Dunno. Anything is possible with this show....

Anyway, I hope they were able to find alot of baby formula in that pantry!!!

To be honest, keeping a baby happy/healthy in their "world" is probably the most unrealistic aspect of the entire show....I've seen kids unhappy at Disneyland!!!! (yes, I know...it's a show that is already stretching the realms of possibility.....blah, blah, blah)... ^_^

This is true, anything can happen I just don't see the writers going down that particular road ever, or at least not any time soon.

Also, happiness does not equate to good health, or even survival - which is the name of the game.

Silly kids, don't they know that the Disney theme parks are the happiest places on Earth?

Maybe you've never been a dad or just forgot...the emotional range of babies is either happy or not happy...with being healthy helping to keeping them happy most of the time!

Eh, yeah I'm a Father and God Father (with the youngest a 3 yr old). B))

Just saying that for the purposes of The Walking Dead they're not terribly concerned with Kicker's happiness when compared to keeping her alive.

Yep, that was my point about how having her in the group and her somehow "no hassle, no whining, no screaming, no crying" is so unrealistic....especially when they seem to portray the walkers as being very sensitive to sounds.....she would be basically a constant dinner bell.....and probably start making Carol think about "the good of the group"....

It is the darn toddlers that are a pain.

tell me about it!

When she gets old enough they can just tie her to zombies with no arms and jaws... you know... baby walkers.

Wow EXO. Just wow.

*snip*

Ha! You've got a really good point. Maybe she's just a really good-natured little child. :p

Poor Carol, I don't think she'd do that after working to save the little one, but that would be funny (within context) if they had Carol start to debate on whether or not to relieve the group of another member.

Well, just keep in mind....Rick really doesn't know what he is up against when it comes to Carol, he does not have the whole story after the events of the prison....that whole scene where she basically tells him that he was right..."she could survive on her own"....means she is back because she wants to be not because she needs to be....additionally, Tyreese specifically decided not to mention what she did with the "crazy" girl.....not sure what Rick would think of that, but to me, it means Carol will do whatever it takes for the preservation of her "family"....she will never be weak (in her definition) again, like when she lost her daughter.........I mentioned it before...she has become very much like Shane, basically an alpha male-type in direct competition with Rick on the best way to lead the group and on what actions are acceptable in support of the group's preservation....unlike Rick.....she would not hesitate at sacrificing a member of the "family".....she has done it twice already without asking for anyone's opinion.....I am not sure I would want to have someone in my group like that, especially when I have a very vulnerable member of my family in the group....

Also, it sure looked like Carol was ready to ditch the group until Darryl showed up....

I find the direction of the story interesting......the set of characters that are being brought together.....Beth, Carol and Darryl.....the Walking Dead Love Triangle of sorts.......nothing good can come out of that......

This makes zero sense, the only few people Carol ever took out were two people with a deadly illness she was trying to keep from spreading to the rest of the group and a little girl with MASSIVE mental issues. Neither of those things compare to a baby, which is acting in the normal way all babies do, and Carol knows this. There's no reason she would ever try to off the baby unless it were infected or sick or something.

Then you haven't been paying attention to Carol's transformation..... ;)

She is empty now....she no longer takes into account any compassion or potential for "a possible alternative solution"....as far as she is concerned, if you are sick, maybe you'll make it...but sorry, not even going to entertain that thought...I will kill you now and "spare the drama or tough choice to be made by someone else" no need for a committee,I'LL HANDLE IT BECAUSE I KNOW YOU CAN'T.....

In the situation Rick's group is in...there cannot be two strong leaders with opposing viewpoints on how to handle situations.....that was tried before with Shane....There cannot be two dominant alpha "males" in a pack.....it does not end well for one of them.....Carol is like an alpha dog, as the alpha dog, her primary concern is the survival of the pack, not any individual member of it....

Carl and Little Kick Ass are CHILDREN.....yes, even Carl, no matter what he has gone through, or how bad-ass he thinks he is, he is still a young boy, he is a weak link in the group....just based purely on physical attributes between men and boys...he will be slower, weaker, less mature.....who would you want in a closed quarters fight with other EVIL humans.....Tyreese or Carl??? Remember what happened when they ran into that drifter group at the end of Season 4????

Carol changed when she was banished by Rick....she changed into someone that sees things more as black and white.....correct and incorrect.....she makes decisions on the fly without any thought of the consequences...except for the quick alleviation of the problem.......the reason why I think she was preparing to leave once again is because she has lost that feeling of "family" that Rick still possesses.....she essentially views the group now in a similar way that a corporation sees "it's family (workforce)"....basically "it's all a big happy family until it's time to shed some "family" to increase your stock price"...You wouldn't want to work for Carol, Inc.... Carol would get rid of ANYBODY, if it meant the survival of the group....And Rick does not fully realize that yet......

Does doing things Carol's way work...sure.....until her way of doing things directly impacts or threatens you or your family....she is actually very lucky that Tyreese did not kill her....

Kirkman playing with fan emotions for the LOL

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/25/robert-kirkman-walking-dead_n_6046564.html

I've been reading some interviews with Kirkman, and he doesn't seem to be hiding the fact

That this season ends with getting to Washington. I'm not sure if that can even be a spoiler, since

the group agreed to it, but it looks like that story line is going forward.

Also, he was asked about Gareth, and Kirkman said Gareth is a smarter, calmer, less reactive Governor
type character, and his intelligence is higher, but dealing with a different kind of Rick. Makes me think
i was looking to deeply into that Bob bite, I'm gonna say now that it's not going to be an issue. There's
no way a guy smarter than the governor is gonna make a fatal mistake in the 2nd episode of the season.

I imagine he will either be around till the end of the season, and maybe even be a background A-hole like the Governor was.

^Can't even begin to imagine the fan-outrage if the show/story turned out to be Rick's coma dream. Hopefully Kirkman is smart enough to know that whole dream, imagination, mental insanity, schtick has been done enough and really isn't needed for The Walking Dead.
