  1. anyone else delved into this one of yet? i saw it includes the Mac+ valks and finally after months of toil with bills got the money to order a copy (at 10 bux less the norm too ) but figured if anywhere to chime in asking about controls this may be the place A.C.E 2 was a hoot with the Macross DYRL parts and units, so i'm hoping part 3 and the finale holds up to that!
  2. awesome! i was digging for that mod after a crash sometime ago but never found the site again.. and yet it does still stand lol.
  3. just one. try buying it, not pirating it. Supposedly yes, but for copyright reasons it MAY have the region coding for the old games it does play, for games built for the system, like the PSP, it doesn't have'em to my knowledge. anyone know anything more on the PS3's BWC?
  4. i think my eyes just got burned having clicked on that image link.... hmmm ahh well, i dunno where such an image would be, aside from roblowtech.com if they have a forum of their own (do they? if not they should....)
  5. wow... i think i actually just got dumber having watched that..... whats worse, follow the related links to the spider one, at the end (i just fast fwded it looking for this, as it was mentioend in a comment) it shows the Valkyrie thingy change into a Gerwalk mode, gun magicly appears, and it "hops" into the city... no joke, it was hopping!! that alone was worth skimming the second one, but that first one... OMFG was it horrible... and all the sound FX sound like they were ripped from NES or before vid games, the voices, i noticed, all appear to be female, even in the other clips on Youtube, the male characters, the female characters... its like the budget was so low that they couldn't even scrounge a second voice actor, 1 lady did it all! wow... just wow....
  6. which campaign? movie or TV? when they say the Movie is harder, its no joke, but you can still mostly zoom through it... its that fight with the Meltrandi Cap ship thats a BI*&H and a half your target is sooooo small and guarded rather heavily... you'll see what i mean and to add to Lonewolf's comment on the PS2 import playing, theres always what i did buy a used Japanese PS2 course i also have it for Region 2 DVD's Gundamn Climax U.C. (OH YEAH!!! was there (in japan) for this ones release... SEVENTY TWO GUNDAMS TO PLAY WITH!!! unbalanced as he** too but meh... heh), and the A.C.E games + whatever else i decide to get later just made it alot easier than flip flopping discs or modding the daylights out of the console in a manner that could lead to its death within 3 monthes (my bros Modded XBox died within a year and he had that done by a guy who mods consoles almost for a living, seeing as his main job is a janitor ) If ya haven't checked it out Sevket, you may wanna look into A.C.E 2, as its got some AWSOME use of the Valks (DYRL ones, and Millia's Qrau, i dunno why they didn't throw in maxes as a joke since its only a reskin, but meh), honestly, throw in a better aim system with A.C.E 2's secondary control scheme for the Valks, and the Missile countermeasure the Mac game has, then remake the Mac game using this and it'd be the greatest game in existance with out challenge!! but A.C.E 2 does have a minor issue in its targeting thing and VS mode auto aim :/ oh... well i also could say the GBP1S armored Hikaru TV 1J was also a bit of an oddball for it since it was almost to easy to control and not very bulky in feel, but being able to eject the armor and haul arse outta there is a neat touch leaves ya weaponless though aside from the gunpod and head lasers.... anywho, thats an FYI if ya haven't tried it... IMO its awsome though, but the Mac PS2 game made my day when i got it no doubt can't beat it as far as 100% Mac games go so far.
  7. LOL the games easy to get the hang of, and mission objectives are very easy to figure out and commit to, i don't speak jack diddly for Japanese either, and the little i know was useless in the game too, but it didn't remove the fun factor for me! yar like i said, the PSP's are like this too, no region, to my knowledge any PSP can play any PSP game in existance, only movies are regionaly coded... not that sony is making any money on that, they fired a guy for not trying to boast that feature enough, then they got a guy who did it, and no ones buying the tiny discs! (why bother, just get a bigger mem stick, rip a full DVD, convert to MP4, and upload to the PSP ) but for PS2 games they'd have to replace the Region coding into the Emu program for licensing reasons more than likely, so region freed up PS2 games aren't likely, me thinks... if they did do that, i'd probably get a PS3, but as is... i'm waiting till its selling 150 new or used, cause its asking price is WAY out there IMHO, and with the troubles they had just trying to produce the thing, and the inability to even hold a real pre-order, is all just bad karma IMO. they only sold out the pre-orders so fast (though they seem proud of this) because they only had like 10 units setup per store!! exagerated a bit, yes, but not far off with the tiny ammount that had actualy been setup for the initial runs... anyone else read VG cats? they had a good pun on it.
  8. that thing looks like a hash between the VF0, VF1, and VF19 (feet and diamond force looking head.. i forget the variant name, and i'm to lazy to look it up ATM ) with some freaky deaky Mac7 Basara 19 sound booster looking gear popping off it in Battroid and a funny little gun... drop that oddball gear, and that is one sweet looking little bird IMO! shame it won't get a figure... or model... or anything... ahh well
  9. O/T and odd question thats been bugging me for YEARS... i see and hear "Turrent" constantly at times... usualy it was from my old roomate, a guy from some down south place... is that some sort of southern, internet, or other type of slang/accent?? i really must know!!! tis driving me nutz!!! sry..... please continue.....
  10. but then explain how the ships stayed afloat after the AFOS had left them, instead of crashing back into the water like oh so much heavy metal would mayhap the AFOS had converted the Asuka's generators in some form? and thats where the Macross's design game from?
  11. heh, thanks for the thaught Sketch they actualy insisted that water tight didn't mean air tight when i was there, but like i said, that just doesn't make sense. like i said though, who knows, maybe the people on them ships just didn't follow procedures correctly in some way and had left the hatches open, or never sealed the vent shafts off (as it get HOT AS FU*& in parts of the ship without the vents open!! + it cuts off a LOT of your oxygen flow, we had half the ship without power at one point while i was in the Gulf a Mexico for a pre-deployment run, no power, no water, no air flow, it sucked to be there, of 8 generators we had 1 working! and they STILL deployed that thing!! ugh...) Anywho, it could be that, or the translation error as you mentioned. but there has to be a better explanation than "they just died because it was in space" since military procedure would've saved the lot of them, or neglecting it would've killed them. and i apologize about the mini random rants in these posts, bad memories of my favorite work places
  12. lol it works if done right, though not always perfectly together (i've a small gap in'er bum on the leg, i could fix that, but i just don't care too) but its okay, at least i know i could always take it apart later if i need to ship, store, or move it, and not have a single ounce of residue from glue on it, or some other thing i'd hafta clean or force apart
  13. i've just a small question regarding one of the earliest posts about the Ships being air tight. When in BC they constantly forced a point into my skull about the Ships doors being WATER tight and NOT air tight at all... didn't make sense then, doesn't now, but, thats what they was saying bout our ships so basicly i'm asking a semi O/T thing and pointing out something they tell people in the USN. Which is it for cripes sake?! i always figured if it was water tight, it had to be air tight, cause if the air got out, wouldn't something have the replace it? On the topic of the carriers doors being open, during a time of combat operations, or when in a high level of security, as they should've been after the Macross fired its cannon. the standard procedure would be to seal more than half the doors and vent shafts on the ship as security and safety measures. what probably happened to the crews of those ships was the ventilation systems were never properly sealed, or they just didn't follow procedure at all wish i could remember the exact code for it.. i dun think it was circle zebra... maybe it was the Circle X-Ray setting... cause i recall a few drills we had where them doors were sealed, and that closed 3/4 of the ship down, making me happy i worked the flight deck been on both the CV and CVN's and i gotta say, them CVN's BIG!! specialy the Reagan... oye, i can't count how often i got lost trying to find the head my first time on that sucker... to get to work i just hopped the FD and said to hell with the internals its interanals are considerably differant than other CVN's honestly, and i don't see how they kept it as a "Nimitz" class vessel... other than the fact no others of its type are to be produced since the aircraft project it was designed/built for was canceled shortly before it was completed... heh, that extra catch wire was useful for the newb pilots though
  14. its Bodolza's viewing screen within the ship, isn't it?
  15. WOOT! got my Minmay in today AWSOME stuff this little statue is! i wanted to put it on my shelf, but was trying to think of a way to piece her together without glue, or ugly tape spots. since i don't have any elmers to boot... then i remembered something i used to do with ball jointed figures that had the plastic joints wear down to a loose flop, and gnabbed the bubble wrap she was in tore off a few pieces, put them over the peg holes, and voila! cheapskate way of doing it, but you'd be amazed how well that worked and if ya don't just throw huge chunks of it in there, it doesn't show either. also doesn't damage a thing or leave any residues behind and the sig on the leg fast pack/boot i really likes this Ruji! She's now standing next to my VF0S and 2 VF1S's, and i'm proud of it, i may not have a huge Macross collection, but i do have a rather rare and unique piece now can't wait to see what comes next! specialy if we can find the pics and convince ya to do them jenius's
