  1. Been working on some wave 1/100 kits lately. Finished a battroid, while a 2nd battroid and fighter are becoming a gerwalk.
  2. Thanks for the support! I'll be keeping my eye open on both ebay and craigslist.
  3. Long time lurker here, and apologies in advance for posting this. My place was broken into last night- most of what was taken was my wife's jewelry that I want to get back, but the only other things taken were a couple of small built/painted Macross models I had put together. If anyone sees these in L.A., please let me know. Luckily for me, only the small stuff was taken, and the 7 & Delta stiff was all left behind. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of what was taken (although I'm taking pictures of what was left today) What was taken (all built with seams removed and painted. No weathering done to any of them) 1/200 Nichimo VF-1S fighter, VF-1J fighter (Hikaru), VF-1A Gerwalk (brownie) 1/144 TomyTec VF-1S Gerwalk - I was displaying this as gerwalk mode - still have a box with the leftover fighter/battloid parts 1/100 Wave VF-1S Super Battloid. The Super Fighter right next to it was left behind. I've attached pics below of the fighter kit below for comparison since I built them both at the same time with the same paints and style. I know that this list is small, but what I'm really looking for is a line on the stolen jewelry. Thanks for your time. Phil Wave Super Fighter pics:
  4. I've built the VF-1S and love it. I built it 10-15 years ago and it still transforms without problems. The only area of the kit that gave me headaches was the landing gear - I ended up gluing them shut as they were very fiddly.
  5. Still not done, but decided to post a picture anyway. Drilled multiple holes with multiple size drill bits.
  6. I cut out the center of the Elysion antenna. Drilled a small hole in the center first, then a bigger hole with a bigger bit, and then used a Xacto to scrape out the rest. I'm not done with the model yet - I'll post a pic when I'm done.
  7. No. Nobody has ever completed one. Is there another question coming?
  8. If you're looking for a Yamato replacement because you want some sort of toy to play with...then the Hasegawa is the wrong choice. This is a model that won't stand up to a lot of playing.
  9. I'll admit to being old & jaded as well...and I prefer many of the old classics to the crap being produced now. However, I'm really enjoying the current releases of Planetes and Area 88.
  10. Here are some of my better Macross cels. The VF-1S/VF-1D cel has a mismatched background.

    New monster

It's the Monster Mk I. Appeared in last episode of Macross Zero.
  12. I lost some parts from my 1/60 Max TV when moving. The parts are L-A4 and R-A4 (The soft plastic forearm parts that cover where the gunpod is attached in fighter mode). I'd appreciate help in finding replacements. Thanks.
  13. You want to buy some of the old Dragon 1/144 modern aircraft kits - they all have pilots, some better than others, and you can use the ordinance as well. The Harrier kits have a nice external loadout. Do an ebay search for "Dragon 1/144", and look for the modern Jet kits. In some kits, the pilot is little more than a shapeless blob, but the F-117 kits have a full pilot - which is what I would recommend.
  14. As a gerwalk fan, I like the transformable 1/72 Bandai VF-1S. Once again, it's time for me to post a picture of mine. Battloid is OK, and fighter is fairly poor (if you want these, go buy the Hasegawa kit).
  15. Dougram's not availible easily. I would vote for Dunbine. It's old but long (49 episodes) and ADV is realasing it now. Most of the DVDs can be found for cheap on ebay as it doesn't seem to popular. It also has a fair bit of magic in it.
