  1. Past hour
  2. MP-60, not MPG. Ginrai, not Super Ginrai. And a price around MP Hoist's. Hmm... it looks like Takara's doing the KFC thing, and the trailer will come later. I can't help but be a bit disappointed... if it was MPG there was some hope it'd scale with Legacy. Bit more exciting to me is the TMNT collab.

My total after tax was $60.41. If you prefer Pulse there's no special savings, but https://hasbropulse.com/collections/new/products/transformers-legacy-united-versus-multipack
  4. @Seto Kaiba: what @MacrossJunkie said. For the release of the Lion JoyToy wasn’t able/wasn‘t allowed to sculpt the Arma Luminis pistol so he only comes with the gun in the holster as it appeared on the mini. I sometimes see that they add different items than what the mini the toy is based on had. But I assume this is only the case were an official model from GW exists. So I assume a Demon Primarch Magnus will come with all the heads the mini had (maybe even cast of armor) while the Horus Heresy one will only have the one head depicted above.
  5. Today
  6. Thinking back on its kinda weird that Michael Keaton kinda stopped fun comedic characters after BEETLEJUICE. Maybe we'll get a sequel to Mr. Mom and it'll be called Mr. Grandmom? lol
  7. Interesting that it is not labeled as an MPG release, contrary to what the first rumors said.
  8. Awesome! It's only a blurry image, but it already looks miles ahead from third party options and Takara seems to be putting on their A-game for articulation. Hopefully robot and truck will be similat in size to MP-44. Also I just noticed that Ginrai is an entry for MP not MPG as previously speculated.
  9. 😁 So the rumors were true ; https://news.tfw2005.com/2024/03/28/transformers-masterpiece-mp-60-ginrai-possible-first-look-507370
  10. To be more precise in my statement: International distribution rights for the film are what's been lost in the shuffle. Not any japanese rights(clearly controlled by Big West), and not international merchandise rights(clearly sublicensed to HG from Tatsunoko).
  11. This is the droid I was looking for! 😄
  12. If the miniature came with variant heads, then the JoyToy version would likely include them as well, just as the Lion figure came with the old man Lion head, the hooded head, the hooded helmet head, and the full winged helmet along with the two Watchers. So far, they appear to be faithful to what the miniatures have included as options/accessories. In a recent Q&A with JoyToy, they basically stated that they can't come up with stuff on their own and all the stuff they release will be based on GW's official original designs (i.e. their miniatures).
  13. The thing about that, is that Magnus having at least three different canonical appearances is from the Horus Heresy before he became a daemon primarch. Both the tabletop game and the novels describe Magnus having an inconstant physical appearance because of his incredible psychic power. It's a bit of an in joke on the part of the writers referencing his inconsistent depiction in old material. So they wrote him as one of those beings like the emperor who has a subjective physical appearance. Different people see different things when they look at him even if they're all looking at the same time. He also has a degree of conscious and unconscious control of his appearance so sometimes even the same person will see different things moment to moment as his mood changes. The one thing he can't change following his bargain with Tzeentch pre-Heresy is that he's only got one eye and cycles through all the different descriptions of his face from older media: having one huge eye in the center of his head like a classic Cyclops, having once had two eyes with one covered by a scar, or having one normal eye and then just smooth skin over where the other should have been like an eye had never been there. It only got worse once he became a daemon primarch. (It's also why in TTS when the emperor jokes about Magnus being shorter than his brothers, he counters by saying that that's entirely his choice... he uses his powers to make himself taller or shorter at will a bunch of times in the novels.) In honor of that in joke, they gave his newer miniatures multiple heads reflecting all three major variations. I'm wondering if they'll reflect that same decision in the Joytoy figure.
  14. Wow, Pretty neat 👍👍👍
  15. Wow, I wasn’t expecting that ab crunch!!! so many battroid kits have had a separation there and some have had a polycap or joint, but that is far better than I expected. There’s a lot more posing potential there, but now I need to see some knee mobility pics
  16. Thanks! I wouldn't mind seeing some of their larger battlesuits like the Broadside with the giant shoulder mounted heavy rail guns. I have a feeling they'll be doing the HH version of Magnus rather than the 40k daemon primarch version so it will likely be based off of this: Would be funny if the head was a surprise accessory for the Horus figure. If only GW would allow them to make Kitten.
  17. I wonder if it has something to do with one of their other licensees garnering a rare double cease-and-desist from Harmony Gold and Big West for making Macross bootlegs. Either that or perhaps the provisions of the agreement related to preventing "brand confusion" go both ways and HG has to get approvals from Big West to do DYRL? merch the same way Big West apparently has some kind of editorial control over future Robotech development since the agreement. Odds are we'll have to wait until someone puts their foot in it and the courts have to sort it out before we get a definitive answer. I'd assume Big West will probably continue to do the same JDM end-run they've been doing for their more recent releases and just put official English subs on domestic releases for western fans who really want to see it.
  18. Yeah, I have not heard anything to the contrary either, which is why it seems odd that they would not want, what is arguably their best licensee (so far), to produce DYRL themed VF-1's.... With that said, alot has changed and it's possible that HG has placed a moratorium on itself when it comes to their DYRL licensing for some reason we are not aware of yet...perhaps HG and BW had decided to revisit that quagmire at some point after their initial deal... The fact that BW still cannot release DYRL merch outside of Japan makes it clear that at least those specific merch rights are not in the hands of BW....
  19. To date, there has been no evidence or statement from any party suggesting the disposition of the DYRL? merchandising rights has changed. Last we heard from HG, they had cut a renewal of the license from Tatsunoko a year or two before entering into negotiations with Big West.
  20. LOL...exactly.....whatever "new" deal is going on during this "licensing meeting" in Japan...it sounds like HG is involved....I think with one of largest media companies in the planet now tangentially involved with "Macross"....both sides may be more inclined to work together....I think HG allowing SDFM/DYRL to stream on D+ may work in HG's favor, in terms of their Hollywood film aspirations....and of course, BW wins by finally being able to market SDFM/DYRL outside of Japan....
  21. That looks really cool , nice job 👍🏼 Lol. That sounds about right for me when i started collecting 40k miniatures It's taken me some time and some discipline to whittle down my collection to something that is only slightly out of control.. With this product line, I'm all about Commander Shadow Sun of the Tau. But I would really prefer Commander Farsight.
  22. Are you referring to DYRL licensing outside of Japan? Clearly, BW controls all licensing for DYRL within Japan (ex. BW sticker on all DYRL Bandai DX releases)... Per @Seto Kaiba he says the "merch" rights still belong to HG outside of Japan....perhaps this is no longer the case? The only info I have is from KC....I had inquired a few years ago when they were first starting out if they would be producing DYRL-themed VF-1's and they said they "could not" because they could not get a license for it....they did not provide any other details so I am not sure if that meant that they could not get it from HG or from BW....since they are already getting a SDFM TV license from HG, I am thinking they could not get a DYRL license from HG.....so perhaps something has changed, in terms of HG's ability or willingness to dole out DYRL licenses outside of Japan....
