UNCM - Uncontemporary Modeling, was created by master molder Tanmen in 1998. Tanmen worked for Club-M and designed kits such as the Club-M 1/72 YF-19, 1/72 YF-21, and the 1/48 Ultimate Strike Valkyrie. He currently does not offer his kits in retail stores but will do castings on a personal fan-to-fan basis. Tanmen is japanese and while he can read your English emails, he cannot respond in kind. MW can try to mediate your questions as long as I do not get swamped with inquiries (my Japanese tutor Kari currently translates the letters from him for me). His kits have been sold recently at such events as JAFCON & Wonder Festival. Of course I will post them here so questions/comments do not get asked twice. Here are 2 emails I have written up. July 13th: I received Tanmen's Cat's Eye, Fan Racer and SD YF-19 a little while ago. I have to tell you the kits are incredible. The Cat's Eye is suprisingly large! The Fan Racer is cute, and the YF-19 is very funny! I am really impressed with the quality and detail he spent with these 3. I plan on getting his entire line-up! He wasn't able to finish the metal parts in time for shipping my Cat'e Eye and Fan Racer but will send them soon. Oh-and guess what upcoming project he is coming soon?! An Ultimate Detail 1/48 YF-19!! Yep-if you have seen his Ultimate Detail VF-1S kit you know what to expect.
