1982-1983 Original series.
Arii is one of the original Macross kit manufacturers from 1982. Their first lineup was very diverse, although quality wasn't on par with Imai.
Arii mass produced itself into bankruptcy in the early 80's. Bankruptcy court forced them to sell off all their tooling to Bandai for any Macross model kits that cost more than 300 yen. All their later re-issued kits are the ones they were able to keep!
DYRL Haruhiko Mikimoto Special Series
Famed illustrator Haruhiko Mikimoto created special box art for Arii when they released these 6 1/100 Battroids for the DYRL movie. The kits themselves are identical to the original issue versions.
Metalize Custom Series
Arii took 5 of their 1/100 models and coated the plastic in a blue-ish silver material. Makes a very distinctive kit. Each model comes with a small black base to place the finished version on. These are very similar to Imai's Iron Type Series of kits.
System Fortress Series
Small 1/170 kits that come with a secret base platform. There are 4 single small versions, Roy, Hikaru, Milia, and Max. There is also a large version, which has 8 valkyries, 24 people, and a 1/8000 scale Macross is Cruiser mode.
HEWAT Series (HEavy WeApons Type)
Release of the DYRL movie prompted Arii to release various kits with the 'Strike' cannon booster attachment. Many parts are new molds other than Strike Cannon assembly.
